A few simple cloths and candles can totally transform a sports bar into a blissful wedding reception. Two of my bartender friends got hitched and celebrated with 700 of their closest friends at, where else? The same bar where they got to know each other as coworkers and became love birds. Precious. However, we simply could not allow the bar to look and feel like a bar aka their place of employment. We had to make it a place worthy of celebrating eternal matrimony. So, I worked with the sweetest bride in the world to get an idea of what sort of mood she wanted to create. And here is how it all worked out:
Above you will see how the rustic candle tree perched next to the guest book in the entry way, instantly setting the mood with its warm glow.
The eggplant shade not only mimiced that of the bridesmaid gowns but also that of the accent walls at the bar. And, the shiny silver bows really created the formal feel of a wedding.
Below you will see the view as you step down into the ballroom to find the bar, the cake table and the dining tables:
Cylinder vases adorn the tops of the tables filled with naturalistic rocks, water and a floating candle as photographed below:
This was one of my favorite weddings to decorate. The bride and I met a couple times to talk about ideas and colors, she gave me some insight as to what she was going for and trusted me with the set up. All in all it she was a beautiful bride in a beautiful ballroom surrounded with fabulous friends.
Hmm I shouldn't have seen this! I might you to work soon! :)
ReplyDelete700 guests?!?! That is insane! Love the tree. I can't imagine how long it took for you to set everything up... GREAT job!
ReplyDelete@Suzanne - Well, all 700 didnt eat dinner, most of them came for the party. And, I dont know if they ended up having 700 total, but it was something like that!
ReplyDelete@Amanda - Put me to work! I'm not scared!
